| The chromosome number,the pattern of vegetative growth and the regularity of growth and development of leaf and root system about uncultivated Pugionium cornutum(L.) Gaertn from Yimeng,Inner Mongolia were studied.The results are showed below, the chromosome number of Pugionium cornutum(L.) Gaertn is 2n=2x=20. The total vegetative growth phase of Pugionium cornutum(L.) Gaertn is successively divided into four stages: germination stage, seedling stage, exuberant growth stage of leaves and recessive growth stage of leaves, and the days of each stage respectively go through 18～20d, 18～20d, 50～52d, 40～42d. Meanwhile, the impact on seed germination caused by water absorption of seeds was studied. The optimum temperature for seed germination and the characteristics of vernalization were explored. |
