In order to get valuable vsheat-Roegneria kamoji (2n=42,SSHHYY, one wheat relative with well resistance to scab) alien chromosome lines, gametocidal chromosome 3C from Aegilops triuncialis and radiation methods were used to induce chromosome variations including substitution, translocation, telosomic and deletion etc.. One telosomic lRk#1 L lineand one deletion line IRk#1 Del.L were successfully obtained from the combination of disomic addition line DAlRk#1 X Norin26 3C disomic addition line using chromosome C-banding, Fluorescence in situ hybridization(FISH) combined with successive scabresistance evaluation. Using same approaches, one substitution line DSIRk#1 (1A) and onetranslocation line TIRk#1 S ?W were also developed from the progenies of wheat varieties Yangmai#158 and Yangmai#9 pollinated with the radiated mature pollens of DAIRk#1, respectively. These results demonstrated the high rate of gametocidal chromosome 3C or radiation method to induce chromosome variations of wheat and R. kamoji. In addition, five advanced lines(MS733, MS808, MS811, MS821, and MS825)with promising resistance were also identified from the mentioned combinations after multi-year and multi-location evaluation of scab resistance. The potential value of the derived lines in wheat genetic research and breeding for scab resistance was also discussed in this paper.
