Relation between the flower bud differentiation and the effect treatment on Catlleya.gigas,and the regulation mechanism of the flower formation of the Cattleya were discussed in terms of the theory of plant cell period of phased development and the theory of flower formation. The results show that Cattleya flower formation involves two developmental states: evocation and floral organs differentiation. Poor nutrition is adavantageous to evocation, and which is need higher in floral organs differentiation than it in evocation.The critical states of flower bud differentiation of the Cattleya. gigas is after ll~14d of flower evocation. High contents of solude carbohydrate and protein, and low of inner GAs are the prerequisite of flower evocation of Cattleya. gigas. Content of protein decline continuly during flower evocation. And Carbohydrate content decline in the earlier flower evocation as it inclease in critical states.The development of the stages of the bud of the Cattleya. gigas is concernedto the effect of GAa.When GAs is done in before the critical states of flower formation of Cattleya.gigas, GAj can promot vegetative growth and flowering transition,and as it is done in after the critical states, GA3 can promot floral organs differentiation and development. In the meantime.analyse the effect of GA3 treatment on mult-peptide collection of illustrative plates and contents of protein , solude carbohydrate.free-phenol et al.The possible regulation mechanism of the flower formation of GA3 was discussed in this paper.
