Taurine is a kind of free Amino Acid.lt has attracted many attention because of its extensive biological function.For example,it can maintain the balance of osmotic pressure,keep the normal visual sense,regulate the balance of Ca2+ in cell,reduce the carbohydrate in serum,adjust the conflict of nerve,regulate the digestion and absorbtion of lipid,enhance the systole of heart,increase the organism immunity,strengen the anti-oxdiation of cell membrance,protect the cell of cardiac muscle and so on.Among of the researchs of poultry nutrition,many of them added the taurine to broiler feed in order to heighten their performonce.Few of them added it to hens feed.This experiment was conducted with Hyline brown laying hens to study the effect of taurine adding to diet on production performance, lipid metabolism and anti-oxidation status,to determine the function of taurine in laying hens nutrition and to discuss the mechananism of its preliminary. 108 Hyline brown laying hens of 78 weeks old were assigned randomly into 4 groups each with 3 replicates for a 8 weeks trial.The groups were fed with diets containing 0mg/kg, 100mg/kg, 200mg/kg taurine respectively.Diets were formulated to meet National Research Council(NRC) requirements for nutrient content-In the end of trial.took serum and egg as samples to identify psychological and biological quota.The main resultl showed as follows: (1)Taurine could improve the endocrine of laying hens.The thyroid hormone(T3,T4 ) in serum of trial groups was higher than the control group,but the difference were not significant. Estrogen(E2) in serum of 100mg/kg group and 200mg/kg group were significantly improved,50mg/kg group was not significantly improved. (2)Taurine could improve the production performonce of laying hens.Egg production ratio of trial groups were significantly higher than the control group.The differences among the trial groups were not significant;taurine did not remarkably infullence the averge egg weight;feed intake and feed/egg ratio were significantly decreased,the differences among the trial groups were not significant.(3)After adding taurine to the laying hens feed,the lipid metabolism was ameliorated.In the end of thetrial,the serum triglyceride(TG) and serum cholesterol(TC) of all treatments decreased(p<0.01),the differences among the trial groups were not significant (p>0.05); High density lipoprotein cholesterol was increased while adding taurine in the feed,the difference between I group and control group was significant(p<0.05),the differences among the II,IIIgroup and control group were very significant(p<0.01),the differences among the trial groups were not significant(p>0.05);yolk total cholesterol(TC) was decreased, the difference between groupand control group was significant(p<0.05),the differences among the II, IIIgroup and control group were very significant(p<0.01),the differences among the trial groups were not signficant(p>0.05).(4)When adding taurine to the diet,the anti-oxidiation was improved.The superoxide dismutase(SOD) activity in serum of trial groups were significantly higher than control group,the difference between I and II was signifycant(p<0.05), the difference between II and III was not signifycant(p>0.05), the difference between I and III was not significant(p>0.05); Yolk malondialdehyde(MDA) concertration were significantly decreased, the difference between I group and control group was signifycant(p<0.05), ,the differentces among the II % Illgroup and control group were very significant(p<0.01), the difference between I and II,III was signifycant(p<0.05), the difference between II and III was not significant (p>0.05).In conclusion adding optimal of taurine to the laying hens could enhance the production performonce ,regulate the lipid metabolism,improve the anti-oxdiation status,increase the quality of egg.Adding 100mg/kg and 200mg/kg taurine had the best effect,but the difference between them was not significantSo adding 100mg/kg is optimal.
