The experiment was conducted with healthy carps to study the effect of MOS on the production performance , physiobiochemical indicator of blood , main microflora and PH of intestinal, non-specific immmunocompetence .The purpose was to detennine the optimum level of MOS on the carps and to explain the mechanism of its effects preliminarily.24000 healthy carps about 100g were assigned randomly into 6 groups for 45-day trial. The basically diet was corn-soybean, containing neither antibiotics nor prebiotics. The groups were fed with basically diets adding 0%(control group), 0.05%, 0.1%, 0.2%, 0.3%, 0.4% MOS, the production performance, blood physio biochemical indicator, the main microflora and PH of intestinaK non-specific immmunocompetence were determined. The main results were showed as follows. (1)Dietary MOS remarkably promoted production performance:At the end of 45 days, the livability of culture increased with the additions of MOS compared with control group.it was highest with the addition of 0.2% MOS; The body gains ratio increased by 4.1%,6.9%,9.1%, 13.3%, 16.8% with the additions of MOS compared with control group; It also decreased the feeding ratio 2.4%, 8.4%, 11.0%, 17.2%, 17.8% respectively,.(2)The diets added with MOS increased SOD of the blood remarkably (P<0.01),but there is no difference between V, VI (P>0.05) ; K+ , Na+, , Mg2+ and Cl-of the blood increased with the addition of MOS, but the difference was not obviously (P>0.05) ; It increased Ca2 + remarkably (P<0.01) ; The difference of TP, AP, GP were significantly between the trail and control groups(P<0.01): To total protein, III, IV, V, VI groups were 3.19 (P<0.01) , 4.07 (P<0.01) ,2.16 (P<0.05) ,1.21 (P<0.05) higher than the controlgroup, To albumin III, IV, V, VI groups were 1.18 (P<0.01) , 1.69 (P<0.01) , 1.42 (P<0.01) , 1.11 (P<0.01) higher than the control group; To globin, III, IV groups were 2.01 (P<0.01) , 1.38 (P<0.01) higher than the control group; The results also showed that the numbers of red cell and the hemoglobin increased with the addition of MOS (P<0.01) ; (3) PH of the intestinal was affected by the dietary MOS, but the effect of MOS was not remarkably (P>0.05). (4)The E.coli of the intestinal was lowed significantly (PO.01), there was no difference between V, VI (P>0.05) ;The bifidobacili of the intestinal in V, VI was higher than control groups(PO.01),but there was no difference between V, VI (P>0.05) ;The lactic acid of bacillus of the intestinal was no higher than control groups (P>0.05). (5) The average diameter of bacteriolytic circle of blood increased with the addition of MOS, Diameter of V, VI groups was 0.135 cm (P<0.01) , 0.122cm (P<0.05) longer than the control group, and there was difference between V, VI by LSD analysis (P<0.01) ; The rate of phagocytic was increased with the addition of MOS (P<0.01) , and the exponent of phagocytic was increased with the addition of MOS (P<0.01) too . there was no difference between V , VI by LSD analysis (P>0.05). (6)The water quality was enhancer by the addition of MOS: PH was 0.04 lower than control group (P>0.05); The NH4+ was 0.02 mg/l lower than control group (P<0.05): The Oxygen of water was 1.35 mg/1 higher than control group (P<0.05) ; The HNO2 was 0.6mg/l lower than control group (P<0.01). (7 )The economic benefit of group IV , V were better than the control, and the group IV was the best from the economical view. Considering all the above, 0.3% supplementation was suggested.
