1LB-240 Integral Reversible In Furrow Moldboard Plow is the one with a novel machinery. In the course of working,,the plow will make use of the shuttling method so that it can dig alternately either on the left or on the right.Compared to the unilateral plow, it can improve the productivity because it can help leave off the soil ,take from the consumed energy and reduce the empty journey. To meet the requests above,we will use a remote cylinder with both a small cubage and double functions , approximately designing the plow to be columniform and symmetric. After the experiment for a period in the field, we found that the most frayed areas had happened at the places of both plow shank and share and at the same time the base of the remote cylinder had ruptured suddenly. With respect to the appeared problems, we, with the technology on modeling parts and solids based feature , will firstly discuss the definition of the feature, the method and the steps to model parts and solids in theory. Secondly, according to the working conditions and circumstances in XinJiang, we shall apply the mechanics model to the designed plow to make a mechanics analysis of it by using Solidworks2001 as well as COSMOS\works which is a software from USA, after that we shall also put forward the related modification. Lastly as for the problem that the base of. the remote cylinder ruptured during the experiment in the field, we are to make the best of Solidworks2001 ,COSMOS\works and DDM to analyse its mechanics and movement characteristics to find out the failure position ,the reason for it and the way to solve it. It is proved in practice that the analysis results by using virtue design are so right as to be applied to the production.
