One hundred and twenty crosses were made by Griffing 4 using 16 corn inbred lines including "87"sister lines. Lattic design was used in field and the combining ability of 11 agronomy and ear characters were tested. The results are as follows:(1)The yield GCA of inbred lines 87-land 87-3 rank medium among the 16 inbred lines. 8085 and Zheng22have the highest yield GCA while Mo 17 and Huangzao4 have the lowest yield GCA among the sixteen inbred lines.(2) The ear diameter GCA of 87-1 and 87-3 are outstanding and rank no.l and No.2 in the sixteen inbred lines. The ear diameter GCA of 87-1 and 87-3 are higher or much higher than others inbred lines except N808 and Dan340. Weight of thousand grains GCA of 87-1 ranks No.2, which is significantly higher than that of others inbred lines except for Zheng58.(3) The ear length and grains per row GCA of 87-1 and 87-3 are low in the sixteen inbred lines, they rank No. 15,14 and 16.14 respectively.(4) The plant heigh GCA of 87-1 and 87-3 is low in the sixteen inbred lines .The average plant heigh of crosses which 87-1 and 87-3 were made are 232.09cm and 234.06cm.They are low than the average plant heigh of the 120 crosses.(5) 87-1 and 87-3 have not significant difference in GCA of 11 agronomy and ear characters except Weight per thousand grains ,(6)87-1 XHZ32 and 87-1×Nzong3 have highest SCA of yield in the crosses Which 87-1 were made. Their Control heterosis are 13.31% and 9.85% respectively.(7) In the 120 crosses ,The yield of 8085×Dan340,8085 × K12,8085 × N808,8085 × Nzong3,8085 × Zheng22,Xu178 ×Nzong3,87-3 × Dan340,P138 × N80810% is higher than CK to out 10%.(8) The cluster analysis showed that 87-1 and Xul78, P138 have the closest relationship. So they belong to the same germplasm.
