The following 5 species were studied on introduction and cultivation :(1) Bush Cinquefoil (Potentillafruticosa L.)(2) Solitary Rose (Rosa bella Rehd. Et Wils.)(3) Shrub Lespedeza (Lespedeza bicolor Turcz.)(4) Peking Mockorange (Philadelphia pekinensis Rupr.)(5) Pair Vetch (Vicia anijuga A.)The seeds of Potentilla fruticosa L. and Philadelphia pekinensis Rupr. had no dormant habit. The seeds of dormant characters of Lespedeza bicolor Turcz. and Vicia anijuga A were forcing dormancy caused by hard seed vessel. The seed dormancy of Rosa bella Rehd. et Wils. was physiological dormancy.The optimum germination temperature of the seeds of these wild flowers were varied, that of Potentilla fruticosa L. was 25 癈; that of Lespedeza bicolor Turcz. was 20-25癈; that of Philadelphuspekinensis Rupr. was 20癈; that of Vicia anijuga A. was 20-30癈.The methods of breaking down the embryonic dormancy were as follows: The hard seeds of Lespedeza bicolor Turcz. and Vicia anijuga A. were treated with hot water or sulphuric acid. The seed of Rosa bella Rehd. was treated with wet sand and with low temperature.Light had no obvious effect on the germination of the seed of Potentilla fruticosa L., which belonged to neutral seed. Light evidently restrained the germination of the two seeds : Lespedeza bicolor Turcz and Vicia anijuga A., which belonged to avoiding light seeds; however, light could accelerate the germination of the seed of Philadelphus pekinensis Rupr., which belonged to liking light seed.The contents of soluble sugar, protein and lipid in seeds decreased gradually, while the contents of soluble amino acid decreased initially and then increased; the contents of soluble starch had no obvious change, during the course of the imbibition and germination of the Lespedeza bicolor Turcz and Vicia anijuga A. As the same time, the activities of amylase and proteinase in the seeds of the two wild flowers rose initially, and then declined, in the course of germination.The weight per thousand-granule seeds of Potentilla fruticosa L. and Philadelphus pekinensis Rupr. was 0.680g, 0.975g, each, belonging to minimal seed, which the method of sowing was "drilling of irrigating". The weight perthousand-granule seeds of Lespedeza bicolor Turcz., Vicia anijuga A. and Rosa bella Rehd. et Wils. was 22.15g, 7.990g, 21.310g, each, belonging to netural minimal seed, which the way of sowing was "drilling of dropping".The phenology of the 5 wild flowers was basicclly normal. Their growing and ability of hot resistant and cold resistant were so strong that they could develop very well in Summer and Winter without any protecting measures. The growth regularity of the 5 wild flowers in the three cultural media was same. There was one growing peak in their growing cycles. The time of seedling period, past growing period and the period of growing peak was identical, and their mean shooting growth had no obvious difference, which indicated that their adaptabilities were so strong that they could adapt the wide range soil pH (5.32-7.86) value and being introduced in this region was feasible. In the same time, there were several difference in the growth cycle of the seedling of the 5 wild (lowers.The study on the physiological comparing the cultural plant and the wild plant indicated that the contents of Chlorophyll, soluble sugar, soluble protein and the activities of the SOD had obvious diversity, which shows that these 5 species wild flowers could adapt the ecology environment of the introduced region. They could adapt to the broder soil pH (5.32-7.86) value. Lespedeza bicolor Turcz. and Vicia anijuga A. blossomed and bore fruit in the first year. Potentillafruticosa L. and Rosa bella Rehd. Et Wils. blosommed in the next year.
