Aimed at the landform and the shortage of water resource in hilly mountain areas, the field experiments of surge furrow irrigation and continuous irrigation were carried out. Based on the data , infiltration parameters k, α , ai and bi were obtained according to the flow advance and recession course of the stream in the furrow, on the base of which ,the model of surge furrow irrigation was set up. And then ,the irrigation performance including irrigation efficiency, application efficiency and distribution uniformity were evaluated by using infiltration parameters and soil parameters. The results indicate surge furrow irrigation is suitable to hilly mountain areas. In order to obtain the most suitable combination of technique parameters, the fuzzy optimal model was set up based on the analysis of the relationship between technique parameters and irrigation performance, in which, the irrigation performance was served as object function. By using the multi-object linear programming theories of fuzzy mathematic and the linear programming method of Matlab, the optimal solution of all technique parameters were obtained. And on this base, the sensibility and the credibility of the model were also discussed.
