This experiment was carried out during 2001-2003 in Shanxi Agricultural University. Eleven deciduous grapevines were used as experimental materials. Utah model , 0-7.2 model and below 7.2 model were used for estimating the chilling requirements. The dynamic changes of the content of water, carbohydrates, soluble protein, free proline and the activity of Catalas(CAT), Peroxidase(POD),superocide Dismutase(SOD)were analyzed. The chemicals of dormancy release controlling the effect of end-dormancy and Photosynthesis Characteristics of grapevines cultivated under protected cultivation were discussed. The main results were as follows:1.The chilling requirement of various cultivars was different. Moreover, the same cultivars had different chilling requirements significantly between different years. 2.The effect of constant temperature treatment at 7 and 10 was much more than at 0 and 2 ; the treatment at -10 had no effect.3.The results showed that the content of free water, total water decreased with the increase of chilling requirements, but these index above increased after endodormancy release. The content of bound water and the ratio of bound water/free water increased with the increase of chilling requirements, but decreased after endodormancy release. The content of soluble protein and the activity of superocide dismutase (SOD) were the highest after completion of chilling requirements, then decreased gradually with the completion of chilling requirements. In the dormancy the content of soluble sugar and the activity of peroxidase (POD) increased, the content of starch decreased and the content of soluble protein had no obvious regulation of changing. The activity of catalase (CAT) was lower at the beginning of dormancy, then steep rose and sharp declined at the end of dormancy.4.Ca(CN)2 could break the grapevines bud dormancy efficiency,20% Ca(CN)2 dealt with grapevines bud from the last ten-day period of November to the first ten-day period ofDecember had an optional effect.5.In control installation condition, the daily variation and the yearly variation of grapephotosynthesis were obviously double peaks.
