No-tillage and throwing cultivated rice was developed very rapidly in Guangxi Autonomous Region in recent years. This paper investigated application of no-tillage and throwing cultivated rice (NTCR) in Guangxi and studied its plant growth & development and grain formation. Results showed that NTCR usually indicated the increase rate of the production is 4-5% in grain harvest, in some cases, more than 10%. Compared with conventional tillage and throwing cultivated rice (CTCR), NTCR revealed slower standing of seedling in former phase, greater root oxidative ability, developed root system, high light penetration rate, slower senescence rate of flag leaf, more dry matter accumulation with greater distribution in grains, greater ratio of grain to leaf, more panicle and spikes per panicle. Perfected fertilizer strategies were ten to fifteen percent increase in nitrogen supply with 50%, 20% and 30% as basal, tillering and ear fertilization, respectively. Seedlings at 3.5 to 4.5 leaves old were suitably thrown. Suitable application rates of Nongminle 747 were 150 to 200 grams per 667 square meters in early season and 200 to 250 grams per 667 square meters in late season. Stubble should be kept within 10 cm in favor of seedling throwing. It was not noticed that disease and insect in NTCR occurred more seriously than in CTCR. The key factors that NTCR was developed very rapidly in Guangxi Autonomous Region in recent years were active participation of farmers, superiority of no-tillage and throwing cultivation, and leading role of government. In the process of no-tillage and throwing cultivation practice in rice, many new cultivation techniques were innovated by farmers themselves, and the effective diffusion of these new techniques were depended on Publicity, moblization, training activities offered by the staff of agricultural department. This thesis also analyzed the reasons of farmers innovation technique formation and its diffusion patterns.
