Development of sugarcane harvester used in hill is an urgent research task.The virtual design technology is an advanced product developing technique in 21 century.and it is effective on developing sugarcane harvester as soon as possible.however, there is no research report about the virtual design technique used in the development of sugarcane harvester at present.ln the dissertation.the visual virtual design method was used to provide support for sugarcane harvester development.ln the chapter twojt expatiates X3D practical application in the virtual design platform for sugarcane harvester.in this section,it brings forward XML normal transport format in virtual design platform for sugarcane harvester. In the third chapter.it realized integration between internet applications such as I_DEAS and PDM (Smarteam) in the virtual design platform for sugarcane harvester. At the same time ,in the forth chapter,integrationmodeling analysis , Data information stream , define and manage system of the digital product, are researched deeply.so that the process about developing product could be effectively organized.controlled and managed.ln the fifth chapter, we had developed the prototype system about foreign data flow from Web for the product of sugarvane harvester. In the sixth chapter.we had realized the integration between integration platform and intelligent design system.In the last chapter.we had developed the Web-X3D browser for virtual design platform of sugarvane harvester. Main study and creative work included the following parts:(1) The virtual design flatform for sugarcane harvester adopt XML as international data transport criterion.and it introduced X3D technology,meanwhile,it was based on web.(2) It realized Integration between RDM and I_DEAS. it consist, file exchange.command exchange.data integration.structure integration and so on.(3) It used IDEF method to analyze products modeling of sugarcane harvester.and had finished digital define of model and data management.(4) It had developed an antetype system about vary data flow for sugarvest harvester products.which was based on CORBA and Java,(5) It had realized the integration between integration platform and intelligent design system.(6) It had developed one browser about X3D,which,besides its standardfunction about IE browser.could browse VRMLfiles and X3D files and so on.
