After analyzing the design features and development of sugarcane harvester, this paper presents the idea of constructing a intelligent design system for sugarcane harvester, which based on ES and parameterized modeling technology. The main purpose of the study includes: cutting down on period and cost of design, improving quality of production. The research will boost the study of sugar cane harvester by providing dependable techniques, which is significant for mechanized harvest of our country.The following aspects and researches are discussed in this thesis: After widely gathering and structuring the design knowledge of sugarcane harvester, a design and evaluation KBS was constructed based on its design characteristic. A knowledge expression model and reasoning strategy are proposed and studied, which are based on the techniques of object orient and database. Discussed the fuzzy-general-evaluation theory and its application in project selection and optimum parameter design, and built the fuzzy-general-evaluation system for sugarcane harvester's design. Analyzing the features and resolve process of knowledge based parameterized design, Studied how to select main parameters and design parameter drive algorithm. Designed the integrate method of ES& parameterized modeling system. At. last, a prototype of intelligent design 'system for sugarcane harvester was developed on the virtual design platform of I-DEAS with the aid of MS Visual C++ tolls, and some application was analyzed.
