This paper combines the fund project of national natural science (number 50365001) --" the studying of the key technology of intelligent design system of sugarcane harvester based on knowledge" was launched. As an indispensable part of intelligent design system, the development of database system is a key technology of the developed of the whole system. Based on the design feature of sugarcane harvester, this paper aim to introduce the object-relation database managing system technology into the design system. And combine the expert system with the base theory of Knowledge Base System and the object-relation database, a database managing system of the sugarcane harvester design system is proposed and designed. The main purpose is to cut down the design period, improve the design quality, and boost the study of the sugarcane harvester by providing dependable techniques.This paper bases the feature of sugarcane growing in China foothill zone, especially in GuangXi province, construct a knowledge system including the following aspect: sugarcane growing physiognomy and situation; components and collectivity design. We describe the kinematical, dynamical simulation analysis and experiment analysis result of the key part by adopting the way of chart, curve , animation , mathematics model ,etc. After analyzing the data features of real-time reason on expert system, this paper proposed a real-time reason model and intelligent managing model to deal with the dynamic data, and studied the data mutual managing policy of each model. The blackboard is information centers of the whole system in the sugarcane harvester intelligent design database and administrative system. As a very important module in the intelligent system of sugarcane harvester, it has a interactive information function of connection reasoning machine, knowledge base and parameter drive module. According the hereinbefore analyzing, with the aid of MS Visual C++ and the Windows programmed technique, such as message drive, multithread, this paper designed thedatabase and managing system of sugarcane harvester intelligent design, and studied the "Black Board" technique which main function is harmonize communications between multithread and managing dynamic data.
