The management of agricultural irrigation information should be reinforced to exert the function of advanced computer technology in the process of agricultural modernization. So, it is necessary to use intelligent technology and network technology t o improve the efficiency of the management of agricultural irrigation information, which will accelerate the development of agricultural modernization.Recently, the management of agriculture irrigation technology has fastly been developed, with the reformation made by the agriculture mechanization departments, but, there are also some problems existing in the management of agriculture irrigation, such as out of date techniques for the agriculture irrigation information acquisiton and transferion from several sensors, poor efficiency software on agriculture irrigation information management and analysis, and so on. Therefore, it is very important to advance the irrigation technology further.Adapting to these requirements, this paper has developed an automatical detection and control system for irrigation based on virtual instrumentation, sensors and database techniques which expanding current measurement methods and empowering the applications fields of virtual instrument.The contents are as follow:1. Applying virtual instrumentation techonology, sensor technique, GIStechonology and computer information technology into the new system design, an automatical detection and control irrigation system, In its hardware design to acquire agricultural irrigation information, system has selected a general design combined multifunction data acquisition devices (DAQ) with the special sensors, modulating circuits and anti-noise design.
