A study was conducted to evaluate the effects of on performance, intestinal microflora, intestinal pH and immunity organ of broilers supplemented with Saccharicterpenin. Three hundred eleven-day broilers of three yellow were randomly assigned to five treatments with four replicates. There were fifteen broilers per replicate. Feed and water were provided ad libitum. All of broilers were fed with a common corn soybean meal based diet. Treatments were as follows: the control group (no Saccharicterpenin and no Flavomycin), the group treatment II contained 500mg/kg Saccharicterpenin, the group treatment III contained 1000mg/kg Saccharicterpenin plus 4mg/kg Flavomycin, the group treatment V contained 4mg/kg Flavomycin. The results showed that:(l).Supplemented with Saccharicterpenin the ADG and ADFI of broilers were higher, compared to the control group, the average final wt of treatment II, HI, IV,V was higher 1.72%, 7.35%, 2.46%, 1.17%;the ADG of group treatment was significantly improved (P<0.05). FCRwas higher when 500mg/kg Saccharicterpenin and Flavomycin were combined than alone.(2).1000mg/kg Saccharicterpenin level of the diet significantly improved the concentration of bifidobacterium in Cecum (P<0.05), but not in Ileum (P>.05) Different level of Saccharicterpenin in diet and different methods of addition had no significant improvement on concentration of lactobacilli in Cecum and Ileum (P>0.05) but each group treatment was higher than the control. The concentration of lactobacilli was higher when 500mg/kg Sacchericterpenin and Flavomycin were combined than alone. The concentration of E.coli of group treatment II ,III, IV,V was lower 5.52%, 3.95%, 8.77%,7.03% than the control in Cecum.Specially, supplemented with 1000mg/kg Saccharicterpenin or Flavomycin plus 500mg/kg Saccharicterpenin, the number of E.coli in Cecum is few. The groups had no significant difference on concentration of E.coli in Ileun.(3). The intestinal pH in Cecum and Ileum of group treatments were lower than the control the intestinal pH of group treatment III ,IV ,V in Cecum was lower 0.2, 0.3, 0.4 than the control. There were no effect on pH in Cecum and Ileum among treatments (P>0.05).(4). 1000mg/kg Saccharicterpenin significantly improved relative weight of Thymus (P<0.05), not Spleen and Burse Fabrieii (P>.05). The relative weight of Burse Fabricii , the group treatment III was higher 19.87%, 17.53%, 16.02%, 29.29% than the group treatment I , II, IV, V. The relative weight of Bursa Fabricii of group treatment III was highest among treatments .1000mg/kg Saccharicterpenin is best on effect of immunity organ.Seen from the results of the trial, there was certain relative between Saccharicterpenin and Flavomycin when they were put in together, but their effects on broilers were less obvious the only use of 1000mg/kg Saccharicterpenin. In conclusion, supplemented with Saccharicterpenin, it improved performance, intestinal microflora and immunity organ of broilers. It is probable for Saccharicterpenin as an alternative or an alternative in part to antibiotc.XuZhenHuaDirected by prof.ZhangShiRui...
