"311-A" optimum compound design and deep flow technique were used to study on the effects of different potassium, calcium and magnesium levels on growth, development, yield and quality of melon. At the same time , the model formulations were founded by using multivariate regression analysis methods on computer. The obtained results were summarized as follows:1, Appropriate potassium (490. 89mg/L) , calcium (206. 31mg/L) and magnesium (65mg/L) levels promoted the growth and development of melon significantly. At the same time enhanced the contents of chlorophyl, photosynthesis, activity of SOD in melon leaves. And also raised its yield and quality.2 , Treatment of lower potassium (30mg/L) or lower calcium( 10mg/L) or lower magnesium (5mg/L) delayed the growth anddevelopment of melon obviously. At the same time its yield andquality was decreased.3, The melon's yield and contents of total sugar could be enhanced when the level of potassium, calcium and magnesium enhanced properly. But the yield and total sugar contents of melon would decrease if the level of potassium, calcium and magnesium were too high.4, Mutual effects of K - Ca, K-Mg and Ca-Mg had positive compound effect on the yield and total sugar contents of melon when potassium, calcium, and magnesium were at proper level. But had negative compound effect if their level were too high.5, Total potassium, calcium, and magnesium in melon leaves enhanced along with the enhancing of potassium, calcium, and magnesium level.6 , Regressive analysis showed that the optimum compose of potassium, calcium and magnesium on yield and total sugar contents of melon was 452.6mg/L, 177.3mg/L and 57mg/L respectively.
