Both field and pot experiments were carried out to study effect ratio of magnesium and potassium in different ecological areas on growing and development, yield and quality of two different rice varieties ( KJ1 and KY131). The results were as follows:The results of field experiment in 2008 year showed that the theoretical yield of treatment 14 of KJ1 was the highest and reached 9.35 t/hm2 and incresed 54.3%. The optimal dosage of magnesium potassium and magnesium sulfate were 22.08kg/667m2and 6.67kg/667m2 respectively. The theoretical yield of treatment 13 of KY131 was the highest and reached 8.93t/hm2 and incresed 19.9%. The optimal dosage of magnesium potassium and magnesium sulfate were22.08kg/667m2 and 3.33 kg/667m2 respectively. The practical yied was consist with theoretical yield practice, yield was the hightest under When the ratio of magnesium and potassium was K2 and Mg2 to Mg3 respectively. In 2009 year, the theoretical yield of treatment 8 of two varieties was the highest and theoretical yield of KY131 reached 9.95 t/hm2 and incresed17.7%. The optimal dosage of magnesium potassium and magnesium sulfate were11.04 kg/667m2 and 3.33 kg/667m2 respectively. Mg/K less effect on leaf-age-progress, and greater impact on plant height. The effect is more obvious that ptassium fertilizer is 18.4kg/667m2.The results of potted experiments in 2009 year showed that the theoretical yield of treatment 13 of KJ1 was the highest and reached 7.9 t/hm2. The optimal dosage of magnesium potassium and magnesium sulfate were 13.2 kg/667m2and 6.67 kg/667m2 respectively. The theoretical yield of treatment 19 of KY131 was the highest and reached 8.64 t/hm2. The optimal dosage of magnesium potassium and magnesium sulfate were 22.3kg/667m2 and 6.67 kg/667m2 respectively.The result showed that the dry matter accumulation of treatment 18 of two varieties was the highest, and enhanced dry matter accumulation in grain by 13.3% and 17.1% respectively, compared with CK. The optimal dosage of magnesium potassium and magnesium sulfate were 25.76kg/667m2 and 3.33k g/667m2 respectively. The theoretical yield was positively related to dry matter of two varieties of different stages respectively,The correlation coefficients of KJ1 were 0.697*,0.518* and 0.909** respectively, correlation coefficients of KY131 were 0.672**,0.531** and 0.836** respectively. The net photosynthesis rate, transpiration rateand the transpiration rate of treatment 14 and 18 were higher, this results was consisted with higer yield.The coherent coefficient between yield of KJ1 and KY131 and leaf nitrogen contents of functional leaves at tillering, dough and full ripe stage were 0.648**,0.652**,0.511*,0.631**,0.689**and 0.584* respectively.When potassium sulfate is 7.36~22.08 and magnesium sulfate is 3.33~6.66 kg/667m2, the brown rice rate and milled rice rate of KJ1 and KY131 was higher than control.There was no significant relationship between grain length and grain width and applicaton amount of potassium and magnesium fertilizer.The effect of ratio of magnesium and potassium on amylose content existed differences among different regions and cultivars. The amylose content of treatment 3 of KJ1 in Daqing area was the lowest and decreased 3.82%. and that of treatment 9 of KJ1 in Honghe area were the lowest and decreased 3.3% and 5.9% in 2008 and 2009 year respectively. The protein content of treatment 13、15、16、18 of Daqing and Honghe area were highest,the change range was 7.4%-8.6%.The increasing range of fat content of KJ1 and KJ131 were 2.3%~2.7%,2.6%~2.8% respectively. The effect Magnesium fertilizer on fatty acids were slightly more than potassium fertilizer.High magnesium was benifical to increase evaluation value of white rice taste, evaluation value of white rice taste of treatment 9 and 10 of two varieties for field and potted expriments were higher, and its score were 70.59~73.83 nd 3~73.60 respectively.
