Aimed at studying the requirement of the daily office work management of forest fire prevention, making use of the advanced network information technique, and combined with the business on forest fire prevention, this paper proceeded to develop the office work management system of forest fire prevention.The processes of the design of this paper and the development of the system include nine stages: need analysis, system analysis, system design, detailed design, code and distribution test, complete test, try circulation, system checks before acceptance, and system circulation. And the function modules the system designed include the latest information, literature management, statement management, on duty arrangement, forest fire monitor, special path of information, long range maintenance, system maintenance, and system backup.The study develops the office work management system of forest fire prevention which has such characters as reasonable construction, plentiful resources, efficient and practical. The system development platform includes Power Builder, ASP(the development tool) and Power Designor (the database design tool)that are all advanced softwares. And this system has not only the leading position, but also the international advanced level in the profession of forest fire prevention.The applications of the information technique in the office management of forest fire prevention provide the convenient and fast forestry information exchanges, and increase greatly the efficiency of the work on forest fire prevention. At the same time these applications lay some foundation for the realization of the "office work without paper "in forest fire prevention, and promote the informationization progress of the work on forest fire prevention.
