With the thorough implement of the large-scale developing of China's westernregion, as the secondary industrial base of livestock farming in China, the Xinjiang'slivestock farming will encount greater developing programme. So the demand volumeof forage will be increasing gradually. It is of great significance to plant and processsucculent fodder beet for improving the feeding level of livestock farming andpromoting the maintainable development of livestock farming. So it is of greatimmediate significance and necessary to develop fodder beet's processing equipment. The paper was aimed at the experimental research of fodder beet's processingtechnique. Basing on the combination method of theory and experimental determination,we analyzed test data mainly, and revealed the relation between structure parametersand test quota for supplying theoretical and experimental basis of the development ofprocessing in equipment. The result showed that: ①Through test equipment and instrument ,some specific processing properties offodder beet were determined , including contour, friction angle and density etc, theresult showed that the average density of fodder beet is 1.04 ㎏/L, the moisture contentof fodder beet is very high, and reached to 86%,the individualof fodder beet is differentfairly. ②Contrasting some methods of washing, the instrument of cylinder washer wasadopted. The result of primarily test showed that test factors which influence testquota( silt remain) were rotation velocityof cylinder, washing time, soak time and sizeof water quantity. Finally, with orthorhombic test, the major-minor order of test factorswhich influence test quota was ADCB, and the best combination of test factors wasA2D2C3B3. ③Through theoretical analysis, the main structure parameters which influence testeffect of fodder beet's filament cutter were rotation velocity of running plate,broadsword edge inclination, comb-type knife and the gap between comb-type knifeand broadsword. With orthorhombic trail, the major-minor order and best combinationof the main test factors were achieved, the result showed that D1C1B2A2 was the best 3one, that is , the thickness of comb-type knife was 0.4 ㎜, broadsword edge inclinationwas -1.5°, rotation velocity of running plate was 480r/min and the gap betweencomb-type knife and broadsword was 4.5 ㎜. Then we determined the mathematicalequation between parameters and quotas by quadratic orthogonal regression test, andthe solution of the equation attained the best combination of factors is that as thethickness of comb-type knife was 0.4 ㎜, broadsword edge inclination was 0°, rotationvelocity of running plate was 497.7r/min. Finally, trough proving test, the result of testwas identicalwith the result of mathematical equation, so mathematical equation can beused to design processing instruments of fodder beet...
