As a kind of excellent national composite material, bamboo arouse people's attention gradually. A new theory of curve glue based on bamboo's capability and structure is brought forward. With the development of computer, finite element technology becomes a key method to settle engineering problem. Adopting Finite element method we analyzed elastic-plastic deformation of bamboo in the course of compress. At the same time we did simulation experiment by ANSYS program that is a kind of software of finite element method. In order to prove simulation experiment, Bamboo-curve compress is carried out by electricity test technology. The result shows : (1) Simulation experiment provided by ANSYS program finite element is feasible. ANSYS program is abundant in element type, which offers all kind of line-elastic element and elastic-plastic element of entity. According to bamboo's mechanics and physics capability we adopted Solid Quad 8nod 82, which can accord with the simulation experiment. (2) It is proved that results of simulation experiment are in good accordance with the testing technology. Using many calculation methods ANSYS program succeed in settling problem of engineering, such as elastic-plastic and large displacement static of bamboo. (3) ANSYS program can offer scientific method of experiment and analysis. It can not only make sure mesh and load mode, but also export versatility result. It is the first time that we introduce Finite element method Analysis into wood based composite design. Nowadays, Finite element method Analysis will become importance revolution of manner and technology.
