The cashmere is a good material in textile, and comes from the second hair follicle of Cashmere goat. The quantity and quality of cashmere depend on the structures and characteristics of the hair follicles directly. Through the statistic and observation of the histological cycling on skin and hair follicle regarding Inner Mongolia Arbas and Liaoning cashmere goats as matierial, the cycling is the same between the two kinds of goats. The reconstruction of the hair follicle is from the connection of the epithelial and mesenchymal. In this period, the secondary hair follicle appears as groups, and the thickness of the epidermis of skin also is different, the high peaks of each characteristics of secondary hair follicle fall behind of the primary hair follicle for a month mostly. Except for the hair bulb breadth of primary hair follicles, other characteristics of Arbas Cashmere goats are higher than Liaoning Cashmere goats, but the secondary hair follicle is not. And the differentia is remarkable in many months. The depth, density, S/P, breadth of follicles and the speed of growth are main factors, which affect production of cashmere. By sequence analysis of the KAP13-1 gene of Cashmere goat, the ortholog of the Cashmere goat KAP13-1 cDNA and the human, mouse is higher, but the ortholog of amino acids sequence is on the contrary. The content of Ser is high, and the content of Cys, Gly and Tyr is far away below the other species. It belongs to the high sulfur KAP family. The in situ hybridization of mRNA during anagen shows that KAP13-1 is only expressed in upper part of matrix and cortex, which is in accordance with the high sulphur KAP of other species.
