The research studied the relationship between the contents of potassium, sodium, nitrogen, carbon and rhizomania in sugarbeet, alone with their differentes of quality characteritic. The results showed:(1)Whether in sickless soil or sick soil, during the whole growth phases, the contents of soluble sugar of leaves and roots in varieties of resistance to rhizomania were higher than those of susceptible varieties, the contents of nitrogen in protein and soluble nitrogen of leaves in resistant varieties were higher than those of susceptible varieties, the contents of protein nitrogen of roots in resistant varieties were higher than those of susceptible varieties, the contents of soluble nitrogen of roots in resistant varieties were lower than those of susceptible varieties.(2)The contents of potassium,sodium,amino-nitrogen of harnested roots in resisitent varieties were lower than those of resistance varieties, while the sucrose contents were higher than those of susceptible varieties. In resistant varieties the coefficient of alkali metal was lower, the juice purity was higher, the impurity index was lower, which were benefit to sucrose crystal and technological process.(3)In the stage of root differentation and forming, contents of potassium in leaves had positive correlation with juice purity, had negetive correlation with coefficient of alkali metal and impurity index,So,the contents of potassium in leaves could be used as an important physiological index to select and indentify the high-sugar content and fineness quality varieties.(4)The contents of potassium, sodium, amino-nitrogen had significant correlation with quality characteristics,by regulating some indexes,it could improve other indexes, and further more improved quality characteristics.
