| By using the method of comparative physiology, the relationship between chitosan, active-oxygen-related enzyme system, MDA, electrical conductivity, AsA, GSH, stoma, ATPase, respiration rate and the resistance to Rhizomania in sugar beet was studied. Four varieties with different resistance to Rhizomania grown both in diseased soil were used in the research. The result showed: chitosan contents and the activities of active-oxygen- related enzyme system of the resistant varieties were higher than those of the susceptible ones; content of MDA, electrical conductivity of the resistant varieties were lower than the susceptible ones; AsA and GSH contents of the resistant varieties were higher than the susceptible ones but they were somewhat crossed; ATPase activity and respiration of the resistant varieties were lower than the susceptible ones. No obvious regularity was observed at stoma. To conclude, the correlation exists between chitosan, active-oxygen- related enzyme system, MDA, electrical conductivity, AsA, GSH, respiration activity and the resistance to Rhizomania in sugar beet, while the relationship between stoma, ATPase and the resistance to Rhizomania remains to be studied further. |
