Fructus Corni is a precious traditional Chinese medicine. It is the pulp of the ripe fruit of Cornus officinalis and has high medicinal values, economic values, visual values etc. Fructus Corni is produced mainly in Henan, Zhejiang and Shannxi province. There are many problems in its production, such as unclear germplasm, serious diseases and pests, careless cultivating management, incorrect collection time and method, and nonstandard primary processing etc. These problems seriously affect the quality of Fructus Corni. Therefore, speeding up the implementation of Good Agricultural Practice for Chinese Crude Drugs has many significances extremely. This research is supported by the fund of national science research for the 10th Five-Year Plan to meet the technical need of good agricultural practice for Cornus officinalis in Foping.Through the on-the-spot investigation, we found there are many germplasm types of Cornus officinalis existed in Foping. 45 germplasm resources of Cornus officinalis were collected and their characters of biology were studied. According to shape, color, size, ripe time of fruits and shape of leaves, the mainly cultivars of Cornus officinalis can be divided into 9 types, which are called ShigunzaoN Yuanyingzao, Zhenzhuhong, Bayuehong, Mayazao, Dahongzao, Xiaomizao, Qingtoulang, Benmizao. We tested 100 fruit weight, medicine rate and the content of loganin and ursolic acid of these 9 kinds of cultivar and analyzed the result with the method of fuzzy evaluation. From the results, we can consider initially that Shigunzao and Dahongzao are the good cultivar.By looking up references, carrying out investigation and environmental testing, We analysis the feasibility of the foundation of Cornus officinalis GAP bases in Foping from the aspects of "ecological suitability" , "environmental safety" and "maneuverability". Foping is the original planting site of Cornus officinalis; the quality of air, soil and irrigation water meets the related national standards. Besides, the local government support Cornus officinalis planting warmly and farmers also have high enthusiasm for Fructus Corni production. The planting of Cornus officinalis can bring...
