| With the rapid development of network information technology, the function and application of network information has become more and more great and extensive in agricultural productions and activities. But under the existing agricultural information construction, there is still the following problems: for example, how to obtain the farmland information in time without the restricty of time and region; how to carry on more interesting agricultural study, research and appreciation beyond the uninteresting and static explanatory note, and how to make buyers believe firmly the quality of the bought agricultural products through the network. So a method of real-time network monitor is needed, through which the farmland information can be obtained. It can be used to service for the agricultural activities.So, a network multimedia monitor model of field is put forward based on the study of the WEB technology, network multimedia technology and database technology. And a field network monitor with embedded WEB server has also been designed through the study on its structure principle and communication protocol. Program realization the obtaining, compression, transmitting and storing of farmland multimedia information on WEB with combining the compression code standard of JPEG and utilizing the Java characteristics, such as network, graphic process and multi thread, etc. A multi-layer WEB appliance B/S model based on the J2EE system architecture has been proposed, and a proliferating agriculture system based on the field network monitor is also designed and developed on it in the paper. The system can offer such WEB service functions as monitoring the farmland, self-service agricultural study, research and appreciation, and visual agricultural e-commerce, etc. The goal of proliferating the traditional agriculture can be achieved by making the agricultural activities more science, reducing the input and improving the output, and high-efficiently utilizing various kinds of agricultural resources. Study and realize to build more effectively connections between database and WEB application using the database connection pool technology. Many kinds of object orientation design patterns are set up, such as MVC pattern, pipes and filters pattern etc, in the course of developing the proliferating agriculture system. Practice indicates that the proliferating agriculture system based on the real-time WEB monitor of field has certain advance and has a wide application prospect and using value in the field of agricultural information construction. The innovations of this paper are the following several points.1. A field network monitor based on embedded WEB server has been designed and the functions such as obtaining, transmission and storing the real-time farmland multimedia information on WEB has also been realized.2.
