Effects Of Traditional Chinese Medicine Oral Liquids On Prevention On Experimental Ascites Syndrome In Broiler Chickens

320 Avian broiler chickens were randomly divided into five groups at 15 days of age, the normal group(groupC1) were reared on normal ambient temperature(18~22℃), the model group(groupC2) and the prevention groups (groupT1, groupT2, groupT3) were reared on low ambient temperature(8~12℃). The groupC1 and groupC2 drinked water no additives. During a period of 20 days, the drinking water of groupT1, groupT2 and groupT3 was added with 0.8ml.kg-1 TCMOL1, TCMOL2 and vitamins formula of be composed of 0.5g.l-1 VC and 0.1g.l-1 VE for AS at a preventive dose respectively to observe the effects of TCMOL on the formation of AS by the low ambient temperature. The results were as follows: 1. By the 42 days of age, the incidence of AS groupT1(3.13%), groupT2(4.69%) , groupT3(6.25%) and groupC1(3.13%) were significantly lower than that of groupC2(17.19%) (P<0.05). The average body weight of broiler chickens in groupT2 and groupT3 were obviously higher than that of groupC2(P<0.05), and there were significantly difference of the average BW among groupC1, groupT1 and groupC2(P<0.01). This suggested that the TCMOL1,TCMOL2 and vitamins formula had significantly preventive effect on the incidence of AS under the low ambient temperature during the period of experiment, and the effect of the TCMOL1 was better than that of TCMOL2 and vitamins formula. 2. During the experiment, the AHI, HI, LgI, LrI, KI of 42 day-old broilers of the normal group were lower than that of the low ambient temperature groups, these above-mentioned indexs of 42 day-old broilers of the prevention groups were lower than that of the model group, and there were significantly difference between groupT1 and groupC2 (P<0.05). Moreover, during the period of experiment, the SI of broilers of the normal group were higher than that of the low ambient temperature groups, and were significantly higher than that of the model group(P<0.01).The SI of broilers of the model group were lower than that of the prevention groups, and were significantly lower than that of the groupT1(P<0.01). These results indicated that the broiler model of AS was replicated successfully. Moreover, these results suggested that the TCMOL1 can relieve the internal organs damage induced by cold stress and improve the internal organs function. 3. The PCV, Hb, RBC, the serum α-HBDH and XOD of broilers in groupC2 were increased under the low ambient temperature during the period of experiment, and there were no significantly difference among groupT1, groupT2 and groupT3.
