According to our study, we have drawn a conclusion that entogenous hormone, acetone and stratification play an important role in breaking dormancy of Aralia elate seeds in some degree. In this thesis the effect of them on breaking dormancy as well as the potential mechanism of that has been discussed based on our close research on the cause of dormancy and on the way to break it. Both of them are explained in some respects, including not only entogenous hormone and signal transconduction but substance metabolism and oxidative path.By the use of system solvent separation method, four kinds of organic phase of the extract getting from the seeds are obtained among which Ethyl acethte phase, petroleum ether phase and methanol phase inhibit the germination of cabbage seeds strongly. The result of CM-GM showed that Hexanedioic acid,bis(2-ethylhexyl)ester Batylated hydroxytoluene Acetic acid and Phenyl ester exist in ethyl acethte phase; n-hexadecancic acid Phytol Octadecenoic acid(z)methyl ester exist in petroleum ether phase; Acetic acid Phenol Guaiacol 1,2-Cyclohexanediol exist in methanol phase. In the meantime, we found that the embryos are not mature enough by dissecting the seeds. Therefore, With respect to dormancy of Aralia elate seeds, there are at least two reasons. One is because of entogenous inhibitors, the other is that the development of the embryos have not finished when the seeds are harvested.Considering the two factors, we tried to treat the Aralia elate seeds lying dormant with acetone combining with GA or 6-BA under temperature-accelerated stratification. As a result, the dormancy is breaking efficiently when applying acetone with 200mg/l GA to the seeds in the conditions of the temperature-accelerated stratification (low temperature 0-4℃12h everyday and high temperature 20-23 ℃ 12h everyday).The result of the determination of the index during the process which I refered to above indicated that hormone which entered the seeds quickly heiped...
