| Sichuan white geese and Landes geese are studied in the research, In order to investigate the influence of the overfeeding to the geese body fat deposit and the plasma parameters and genetic susceptibility of liver-steatosis between the genotypes. Because Sichuan white geese and Landes geese are different in their body weight.Overfeeding was carried out by providing the animals with amounts of food in proportion to their body weight (25g/d.l00g of body weight) . Under these conditions, after 14 days of overfeeding,the body weight,the skin+subcutaneous adipose weight,the abdominal adipose weight,the liver weight and lipid content,the expression quantity of LPL mRNA skin+subcutaneous adipose tissue and abdominal adipose tissue of the two genotypes are dramatically increased.All those values are higher in the Landes geese than in Sichuan white geese. In response to overfeeding,the concentration of plasma triacylglycerols (TG), very low density lipoproteins (VLDL) and LPL activity are marked increased. The expression quantity of LPL mRNA in abdominal adipose tissue are higher than in the skin+subcutaneous adipose tissue.It indicated that the expression pattern of LPL mRNA show tissue specificity. In all those plasma parameters,only the LPL activity of plasma is lower in Landes geese than in the Sichuan white geese,the others are both higher than the latter. The fatty liver weight (in g/100 g of body weight) was positively correlated to VLDL and TG measured in overfed Sichuan white geese(r=0.39 and r=0.41 respectively ,P<0.05) and was negatively correlated with LPL activity measured in overfed Landes geese (r=-0.37,P<0.05). Those data suggest that: (1) Hepatic steatosis were more important in Landes geese,while extrahepatic adipose tissue such as subcutaneous adipose tissue and abdominal adipose tissue were well developed in Sichuan white geese,showed a much marked extrahepatic fattening. (2) When food intake is corrected for body weight, Sichuan white geese have the same potential to use the massive amount of ingested food as the Landes geese.It indicates that it's feasible of the using different genotypes geese to study fatty liver. (3 ) The relationship between expression quantity of LPL mRNA and the LPL activity is not significant.There are many influencant factors between them. Such ashormonal and nutritional status. (4) In the same genotype geese, after preoverfeeding and overfeeding the expression quantity of LPL mRNA show difference between skin+subcutaneous adipose tissue and abdominal adipose tissue,the expression quantity increasment of abdominal adipose tissue are higher than the skin+subcutaneous adipose tissue.The amount of food intake and the lipid content of the food are also the induce factors of the difference. |
