Adopting Polymerase Chain Reaction-Restrain Fragment Length Polymorphism (PCR-RFCP), the genetic variations of HDAC1 gene and PTT-I gene were detected in 515 pigs including 8 groups (Duroc YY, Yorkshire XT, Duroce ZH, Landrace ZH, Yorkshire ZH, NingXiang, Daweizi, Taoyuan), then the genotype frequencies and gene frequencies were cauculated according to the PCR-RFLP, the differences of genotype frequencies between groups were analyzed by Chi Square Test. At the same time, the effects on growth traits and carcass traits of HDAC1 gene and PIT-I gene were estimated according to their growth and slaughter data. The main results are showed as follows:1. The genetic polymorphism and effect of HDAC1 gene. There were great polymorphisms in Hinjl restriction loci of HDAC] gene in Duroc YY and Taoyuan breed. The frequencies of Allele A in Duroc and Taoyuan ebreeds were 0.7188, 0.3192 respectively, there were little polymorphism in other breeds. There exist only genotype GG in native breed NingXiang and Daweizi. There was no genotype AA in Landrace and Yorkshire. The days-get-100kg-weight of HDACGG was lower than that of HDAC1(AA) in Duroc, it's effect was 5.56%, At the same time, the Growth Index of HDAC1(GG) was higher than that of HDAC1AA, and it's effect was 9.46%. The results indicated the HDAC1GG had better growth performances than HDAC1AA the allele G had the positive effects on growth performances. The individuals with HDAC1GG had thinner back fat thickness and higher lean percentage. So we could improve lean percentage by selecting genotype GG of HDAC1, allele G had the positive effects on lean percentage in pigs.2. The genetic polymorphism and effects of PIT-I geneThe genotype frequencies of PIT-1 gene had difference among breeds. The frequencies of Allele C in Ningxiang, Daweize and Landrace was 0.6200, 0.5556, 0.5750...
