Adopting Polymerase Chain Reaction-Restrain Fragment Length Polymorphism (PCR-RFLP), the genetic variation of Hal gene and H-FABP gene were detected in 683 pigs including 8 groups(Duroc YY, Duroc ZH, Landrace, Yorkshire, DLY,Ningxiang, Shaziling, Daweizi), then the genotype frequencies and gene frequencies were counted according to the PCR-RFLPs and the difference of genotype frequencies between groups were analyzed by Chi Square Test. With the data of Durocs' growth traits, the effects of Hal on traits gene were estimated, at the same time, the effect on carcass traits and meat quality traits of Hal gene and H-FABP gene were estimated according to DLY's slaughter data. The main results are showed as follows:1. Genetic polymorphism and effect of Hal gene(1) The distribution of Haln is different among 5 groups. In Duroc YY, Duroc ZH, DLY, Landrace and Yorkshire, the frequencies of Haln are 0.3766, 0.0645 , 0.0773 , 0 and 0 respectively.(2) In Duroc YY, there are model effects in Gowth Index, modified BFT and mean BFT , but all of them are not significant (0.050.05).2. Genetic polymorphism and effect of H-FABP gene(1) At the HaeIII-RFLP site of H-FABP gene, no genetic variation was found in Shaziling and Daweizi, and the frequencies of Allele d in Shaziling Pig, Daweizi Pig, Ningxiang Pig and DLY are 0, 0, 0.0258 and 0.6649 respectively. At the Msp I -RFLP site ofH-FBP gene, only DLY presented variation among 4 tested groups and the frequency of Allele a is 0.134 in DLY. Compared with three Chinese breeds, the genotype frequencies of each allele in DLY are significantly different.(2) At the HaeIII-RFLP site, there are considerable model effects on Cooked Meat Percentage (CKMPCT) and Intramuscular Fat(IMF). The Pr value of CKMPCT is 0.0530 that is close to significant level, and that of IMF is 0.0087. No model effects exist on other indexes.Genotype dd not only performs significant positive effect on CKMPCT (p<0.05) but also shows noticeable effect on IMF depositing (p<0.01), but Pr value of genotype effect on others index exceed 0.1.(3) At the Msp I -RFLP site, there are considerable model effects on Vertical Carcass Length (VCLTH), WLPCT and MAS, the value of Pr are 0.0965, 0.0795 and 0.0996 respectively, the values of model effect on other indexes exceed 0.1. In this study, Pr value of genotype effect of Aa on VCLTH is 0.0965, which indicates allele a has positive effect on VLCTH. Genotype AA perform a negative effect on capacity of keeping water and Marble Score(MAS), the Pr value almost approaches significant level. Allele a. has no significant effect on IMF.This study indicates Hal gene and H-FABP gene perform effects on growth, carcass and meat quality traits, which would provide theory basis for the improvement of relative traits, especially for the improvement of meat quality traits.
