In order to reveal the vernalization traits of different varieties in wheat, The characteristics of the eighteen varieties of wheat from home to abroad have been study by means of vernalization in green house, transplanting varieties which had been seeded in three times in winter from field, different development response in different seeding times in winter and spring, and the response under the different thermo-photoperiod. The results are as follows:(1) The varieties are divided from different multilayer: (1) Base on the ladder response of vernalization, the varieties are divided into springness (six), wintemess (seven), and winter-springness(five). Besides we can also divide it from how many layers in each layer. (2) Base on "ecological separation" under the temperature of seeding from high to low in winter and from low to high in spring, springness seeded in winter had joined the jointing and dead before the winter; wintemess and winter-springness all can live through the winter and come into ear, but wintemess seeded in spring can not come into ear, even fewer can come into ear alone with seeding time later. (3) According to spike differentiation, leaf numbers of main stem, eighteen varieties of wheat were divided into two large group, three branches and six types.(2) The difference of thermo-photoperiod response among varieties is reflected: The only long day length can promote the development of springness variety. The long day length and low temperature simultaneously promote the development of winter-springness variety. However the long day length promotes the development of wintemess. Jinmai 67 behave clearly in the response of thermo-photoperiod in this study.(3) In the vernalization process approached to POD MDA and chlorophyll realized: POD were highly related to vernalization. So the differentiation of POD content in wintemess was larger than in springness, and there was higher content about 40 day, the content of MDA rise and reduce in opposition according to the content of POD. This study also showed that chlorophyll were highly related day length, the content of chlorophyll is different under the different day length conditions.(4) Jinmai 67 was treated by SDS-PAGE. The results showed that not only the amount of soluble proteins increased, but also some new proteins appeared in the vemalization process. A kind of new protein appeared about 30 day, it is 46K.D compare it to standard protein.(5) From the development of wheat, the result showed wheat will rest on single-ridge if the vernalization days deficient. So we can deduce that single-ridge is the key to wheat whether it can break through vegetation growth into reproductive development.(6) It was highly related to vernalization and in the vernalization process, which is plant height, leaf numbers of main stem , tiller and spikelet per plant, and so on. The same time the vernalization is also the precondition of forming yield. In order to cultivate strong wheat, which can not only resist cold but endure thin and weak, varieties must adapt to ecological climate, and adjust the relation of Growth and development through controlling seeding times and seed quantity, this is the practice purpose in this study.
