This experiment was to investigate the effect of Glucose Oxidase on production performance , apparent metabolite rate of nutrients , caecum microorganism and Serum Biochemical Parameters of laying hens. 180 twenty-six-week-old Hyline layers were randomly allotted to 5 treatments, each treatment represented by 4 replicates of 9 birds each. Laying Hens in treatments I, II, III, IV and V received basal diets with the addition of 0, 0.1%, 0.2%,0.3%, 0.4% Glucose Oxidase. The experiment lasted six weeks. The egg production, feed efficiency, average egg weight, feed intake/day and apparent metabolic rate of nutrients were statisticed. E. coli and lactobacillus in caecum contents of laying hens were tested. The activity of glutamic-pyruvic transaminase (GPT), glutamic-oxalacetic transaminase (GOT), alkaline phosphatase (AKP), and creatine kinase (CK) and the levels of cholesterol (CHOL), triglyceride (TG), calcium (Ca), phosphorus (P), total protein (TP), albium (ALB) and globulin (GLO) were analyzed. The results were as follows:(1) Laying Hens fed Glucose Oxidase can increase the production performance and economic efficiency. Compared with the control group, the egg production of group II ,III,IVand V increased by 11.01% (P>0.05), 12.34% (P>0.05), 16.06% (P<0.01), 13.79% (P<0.05);the broken (soft) eggshell rats decreased by 32.77% (P>0.05), 33.45% (P>0.05), 49.66% (P<0.05), 33.11% (P>0.05);the additions of 0.3% and 0.4% Glucose Oxidase significantly enhance (P<0.05) the feed conversion ratio. Birds fed Glucose Oxidase significantly decrease the mortality, and the additions of 0.3% and 0.4% were better (P<0.01);there were no significant effect on egg weight, the day-feed intakes, the day-egg yields among the groups;the trial groups were increase the economic efficiency, and the addition of 0.2% Glucose Oxidase was the best (P<0.05).(2) Laying Hens fed Glucose Oxidase could increase the apparent metabolic rate of nutrients. Compared with the control group, the apparent metabolic rate of CP increased by 15.25% (P<0.05), 28.40% (P<0.01) ,23.32% (P<0.01), 26.10% (P<0.01);the apparent metabolic rate of Ca increased by 3.37% (P>0.05), 4.71% (P>0.05), 8.01% (P<0.01), 7.30% (P<0.05);the apparent metabolic rate of P increased by 17.74% (P>0.05), 16.30% (P>0.05), 24.58% (P<0.01), 27.32% (P<0.01).(3) Laying Hens fed Glucose Oxidase could improve the quality of the eggs. The addition of 0.3% Glucose Oxidase improved eggshell thickness and HU significantly (P<0.05);The additions of 0.2%, 0.3% and 0.4% Glucose Oxidase improved the specific gravity of the eggs significantly, and the addition of 0.3% Glucose Oxidase was the most effective (P<0.05);The addition of 0.2 % and 0.3 % Glucose Oxidase depressed the CHOL of the yolk, and addition of 0.2% Glucose Oxidase was the most effective (P<0.01) . There were no significant differences(P>0.05) in egg-shape index, egg-yolk colour , egg yolk comparative weight , egg protein comparative weight and egg shell comparative weight between the trial group and the control group? Laying Hens fed Glucose Oxidase increased the quantity of the lactobacillus and restrained the E.Coli in caecum contents (P<0.01),and the addition of 0.4% Glucose Oxidase was the most effective.(D The addition of 0.4% Glucose Oxidase increased the serum serum TP and ALB . Laying Hens fed Glucose Oxidase had the trend of increasing the in serum GLO, Ca, P, AKP, GPT and GOT, and reducing the serum CHOL and TG, but the differences were not significant (P>0.05) . The addition of 0.4% Glucose Oxidase significantly reduced the levels ofCK(P<0.05).Conclusion: The addition of 0.3% ^ 0.4% Glucose Oxidase can increase the production performance and economic efficiency. The function of Glucose Oxidase in increased feed efficiencyjincreasing the feed conversion ratio was related to stimulative the caecum lactobacillus, restraining the caecum E. coli and enhancing the level of serum ALB.
