To study the effects of leaves of Broussonetia papyrifera on production performance, egg quality, Serum Biochemical Parameters and Immunity of Laying Hens, the preliminary discussion for its application to provide theoretical and practical basis. The purpose is to provide theoretical and practical basis for application.Test 1 four hundred 45-week-old Hy-Line layers were randomly divided into five groups. Each group was assigned 4 replicates. The contrast group was fed with basal diet, groupâ… ,â… ,â… andâ…£were fed with the basic diets containing 0.5%, 1%, 1.5% and 2% leaves of Broussonetia papyrifera, Collecting samples to measure the production performance and egg quality index regularly. The Results showed that each group with different levels of leaves could increase the egg weight, 2% was the best one (P <0.05). Each treatment group could improve egg- laying rate, but there was no significant effect on feed intake and feed egg ratio. Yolk color, eggshell relative weight, eggshell thickness of 1.5% was significantly better than the control group (P<0.05), but it had no significant effect on the egg index, yolk index, yolk relative weight and Ha-Fu unit. It is concluded that adding 1.5% -2% leaves of Broussonetia papyrifera to a normal diet of laying hens could be guaranteed a good performance and egg quality.Test 2 four hundred Hy-Line layers aged 65 weeks were randomly divided into five groups. The Results showed that each group with different levels of leaves could increase the egg weight, but it had no significant effect on feed intake and feed egg ratio. Egg shell relative weight of 2% was better than the control group (P<0.05), shell thickness difference compared with control group (P<0.01); each group of Ha-Fu unit (P<0.05) and yolk colour (P<0.01) were greatly improved compared with control group. Group 1.5% and 2% of egg yolk relative weight was better than control group (P<0.05). Protein of egg white and egg yolk in group 1% and 1.5% improved significantly better than the control group (P<0.05). And egg index, yolk index to egg white water content, egg yolk water content and fat content showed no significant effect. It is concluded that 1.5% group was the best one.Test 3 135 male chicks aged 7 days were randomly divided into three groups. The contrast group was fed with basal diet, groupâ… andâ… were fed with the basic diets containing 1.5% and 2% leaves of Broussonetia papyrifera. At 14, 21, 28, 49 days of age, blood of eight chickens of each group was collected by heart picks (after death, the immune organs index was measured). At 35, 42, 56, 63 days of age, serum was obtained to the use of red cells agglutinate inhibit test chicken ND and HI antibody titer. At 21, 49, 63 days of age, 5 chickens was selected from each group, after death, spleen was taken, the mRNA expression of IL-2 of spleen were detected by semi- quantitative RT-PCR assay. The results showed that adding leaves of Broussonetia papyrifera to a normal diet of chickens can improve the antibody level; leaves of Broussonetia papyrifera can significantly improve the immune organs index, added 1.5% was the best one; during the test leaves of Broussonetia papyrifera can significantly improve the expression of IL-2 mRNA in chicks spleen. It is concluded that leaves of Broussonetia papyrifera can induce the body to promote the Th1 immune response.
