Studies On Antibacterial Action In Vitro And Antioxidation Of Extract Of Flos Lonicerae Xianglei

[Objects]This study has offer the base of a theory for qulity of Flos lonicerae xianglei which largely grows in Hunan province through comparing the medicinal effect of Flos lonicerae xianglei and other Flos lonicerae. It's also make a base for Flos lonicerae xianglei's producing, using, embodied in pharmacopoeia.[Methods]Comparing Lonicera macranthoides and flos lonicera japonica, the antibacterial effect, which of different solvent extract of Flos lonicerae xianglei, was measured by the cup-plate method and double dilution tests in vitro; scavenging action of Flos lonicerae xianglei extract to hydroxyle free radical was measured by spectrophotometery; using mice as materials, acute toxicity test were observed, and the lethal dose 50(LD₅₀) of mice was analyzed; swell of auricle in mice, resulted from dimethylbenzene, was restrained by feeding 70% ethanol extract of Flos lonicerae xianglei; SOD,C AT and MDA,which are of serum and liver in mice and show antioxidation effect, were measured.[Results]1 The different solvent extracts of flos lonicerae xianglei had resemble antibacterial action to E coli, Streplococcus, Pneumococcus pneumonia, staphylococcus and dysentery bacillus, howere, antibacterial action of 70% ethanol extract is beyond of water extract and 95% ethanol extract,and is no evident difference comparing with penicillin(25mg/mL). In the same condition,the ability of flos lonicerae xianglei is no more than that of flos Lonicera macranthoides, and is stronger than that of flos lonicera japonica.2. In term of antibacterial action and scavenging action of hydroxyle free radical, the ability of the freeze-dried is worse than green-ness, but is notability stronger than the sundried.3. It is resemble that flos lonicerae xianglei extracts scavenge hydroxyle free radical, howere, scavenging action of 70% ethanol extract is beyond of water extract and 95% ethanol extract, and is worse than mannitol. In the same condition,the ability of flos lonicerae xianglei is no more than that of flos Lonicera macranthoides, and is stronger than that of flos lonicera japonica.4. The result of acute toxicity test shows: 70% ethanol extract of flos lonicerae xianglei is no resemble toxicity to mice,and its LD50 is 96.161 g·kg^-1, 95% interval range...
