In recent years, the planting areas of hot pepper have been increasingly enlarged in Northeast of China. Moreover it has formed the industrialization pattern. Hot pepper has been become one of the most important expert vegetable. The capsaicin and capsanthin which are in the fruit of hot pepper have been widely used in the field of toiletry, food and medicine. So how to increase the content of capsaicin and capsanthin has become the most important task to pose.In order to provide the theoretical basis, this experiment was carried out to study the effect of cultural, including N fertilizer, P fertilizer, K fertilizer, trace element fertilizer, illumination, irrigation, intercrop, plant growth regulation and harvesting period on the development and the content of capsaicin and capsanthin in hot pepper.According to single factor fertilization experiments and the experiment with three factors quadratic regression rotation aggregate design method, we can get the conclusion that the optimizing fertilization treatment was that of urea : 70.27-80.83kg/667m2, super phosphate : 56.83-76.16kg/667m2, under the condition of high yield. The experiment with the single and mixture fertilization of tree kind of trace element Zn, B and Mn showed that the capsaicin content in treatment B+Mn were higher than those of others. Whereas capsanthin content in treatment B was higher than those of others and its quality, average weight of single fruit were also superior to others. The artificial shading experiment was showed that when hot pepper was under the 80% of natural light, the plants grew well and the capsaicin and the yield were higher than others. But the content of capsanthin, Vc and soluble protein under natural light were larger than others. So in actual production we can gain much higher economical characters according to decrease the natural light. The experiment of irrigation was showed that the treatment of W2 and W3 were superior to others. That was to say that excessive irrigation can cause the waste of water and it was harmful to the formation of each index. So decreasing the irrigation suitable was benefit to the formation of the quality and the yield of hot pepper. The capsaicin, capsanthin and other quality was the most in the treatments of the large ratio in the intercrop treatment. But the content of capsanthin was lower compared to the treatment of planting hot pepper only. The results were showed that the intercrop pattern of hot pepper and crop was in the conformity with the principles. The yield of hot pepper and crop were increased with the increasing of intercrop ratio. So in actual production, we should pay much attention to the yield of hot pepper,.Under the condition of this experiment, each index in the treatment of application NAA and the treatment without it was different. So we can get the conclusion that application NAA can increase the content of capsaicin and capsanthin obviously. The optimum treatment was that of N2(50ml/L),...
