Research On Effect Of Flower And Fruit Thinning Of Longan Tree

Two experiments were carried on in this study. The Shixia Longan cultivar was used as plant material in the first experiment, there were fruit thinning and no fruit thinning two treatments. The Chuliang and Guiming Longan cultivars were used as plant material with the treatments of flower thinning,fruit thinning,and CK (no thinning of flower and fruit) in the second experiment. The objective of present study was to research the effect of flower and fruit thinning on yield, fruit-setting rate, fruit quality, flowering rate of next year,and organic and mineral nutrition in the leaf of Longan plant. The results were reported as following;1.Flower thinning efficiently enhanced female flower rate and fruit-setting rate.2.Flower and fruit reasonably thinning improved fruit- retention rate, yield per tree , single fruit weight, soluble solids content, edible portion and fruit size.
