China is a great agricultural country but with slowly scientific study and application of agricultural technology. Currently, large population, limited soil resources, traditional farming mode and frequent natural disasters are fundamental situation of China, so the central government has been attaching great importance to the development of agricultural and putting forward a new agricultural technology revolution --transforming from traditional agriculture to modern agriculture and transforming from extensive farming to intensive farming --to boost Chinese agricultural informationazation.Digital agriculture is the core of agricultural informationazation, it will greatly promote agricultural technology revolution, speed up two agricultural transformations and agriculture development, and enhance our competition ability in WTO and enjoy more shares in international agricultural market. Due to fresh beginning of study in digital agriculture at home and abroad, scientific and technical system, how to implement digital agriculture all need to study creationarily, especially on crop planting and modeling, in order to realize high-quality and yield production and economize cost. Wheat is one of the biggest provision and occupies the important status in the national economy. In order to improve high quality and yield, save water, and economize fertilizer, the application and study of GIS to wheat planting has become imperative.Based on the theory and technology of Digital Earth and combined with the current status study of agricultural information technology, taking example for the wheat planting in Xingyin village of Shandong province, the Wheat Planting Spatial Information System was studied in the paper. The system consists of information query, special analysis, assistant decision-making and real time monitoring. The system uses antityped programming method and was built by developing ArcView with ArcObjects in VBA.
