As the people's life standard improving, the consuming of color sweet peppers is becoming a kind of trend in china .Because color sweet peppers are just be introduced in china for several years, so their biological characters and cultivating methods are not familiar to us. It has significant theoretic and practical meanings to researching cultivating methods and selecting the suitable varieties for special climate condition and optimizing the quality and maximizing the yield.For getting the suitable color sweet pepper varieties and cultivation methods the study on comparing to difference of pruned methods was conducted by using.9 kinds of red and yellow sweet pepper which have been widely planting in china. The effect of yield and quality with different pruned method.. were analyzed and compared.1 The result shows: The mature fruit yield, total yield, biologic yield, dry materials content, fruit setting quantity per plant of keeping 4 branches are significant or extremely significant higher than keeping 2 branches which is general adopted in long-season cultivating in Holland greenhouse .2 Analyzing on structures of yield shows "hangoubao", the yellow fruits variety, had the highest yield , because the fruit numbers of it was extremely significant higher than that of " jintaiyang " ,"hongluodan","fulanminggao","hongyingda" and significant higher than "hongsushan". Hongluodan has the top yield in red pepper varieties,the reason is the weight of its single fruit is higher than others and It has extremely significant differences with meilida , Red star No.2 , hongsushan, huangoubao, Yellow star No.2 and significant differences with fulanminggao , hongyingda.3 As to the effect on nutrition and quality , there were extremely significant variances in calcium contents and magnesium by different pruned methods. For other elements, the effects were not significant.The Iron Manganese and Fat showed significant variances and Calcium,Magnesium,total acid , crude fibre , Polyphenol,Carotentids showed extremely significant variances beteen color sweet pepper varieties.4 As for morphological characters, the plant height, stem diameter are dominated were different between varieties at growth beginning,but the effect is becoming smaller and smaller with the plant further growing.and the pruned methods seemed to play more and more important role in plant height dominance gradually. There were no significant different on stem diameter among both pruned methods and varieties. For inter-node length, the variance is significant with different pruned methods and different varieties.
