In this paper, we give a detailed summary about the current treatment of diabetes drugs on the efficacy of drugs from the situation, and focus on the status ofα-glucosidase inhibitor andα-glucosidase inhibitor theory outlined.At the same time we set up a mice intestineα-glycosidase inhabitory screening model with Southwest Jaotong University. By using this model for the screening of Chinese medicine herbs, 7 herbs was found to have goodα-glycosidase inhabitory activity from 53 herbs.Author gave a summary about amylose, flavone and alkaloid, meanwhile among 53 herbs, the active ingredients of Mulberry leaves were separated. 5 compounds, 2 Coumarins, 2 amino acids, and 1 alkaliod, were isolated, which could be essential for the further development of such medicines.Because polyhydroxyl alkaloids have good clinical effect for diabetes, we designed a synthetic rout for alkaloid analogues found in Mulberry leaves, and the synthesis stratege was investigated.
