Research On Evaluation Of Informationization Level Of Disease Control Institutions In China

[Objective] To formulate evaluation indicator system for the informatization of Chinese diseases control institutions and to evaluate the current informatization level of these institutions with this system. To analyze the existing issues therefore develop suggestions according to the situation of China and these institutions.[Methodoly] Applying methods including literature review, experts consultation and scoring to select the evaluation indicators. The weight of indicators would be calculated with the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and experts scoring methods. Online survey was conducted to collect informatization building data of disease control institutions throughout the country and establish the database. The informatization level of disease control institutions would be evaluated with this system combining the online survey results. As a result, the prioritized issues would be identified with proper suggestions.[Results]5dimensions,15second level indicators, and48tertiary level indicators were developed to reflect the informatization level of disease control institutions in China from three aspects of the overall level, the three levels of disease control, and the disease control institutions in different regions. It can be seen that the overall level of informatization is poor. The development between different dimensions, different provinces, and different levels is very unbalanced. The economic development level has a strong impact of the informatization level of the local disease control institutions.[Conclusion] With the study on the informatization level of disease control institutions in our country, it is disclosed that the overall informatization level is poor with evident unbalance between different dimensions. Differences in the development of informatization occurred between different administrative levels and different regions. Further attention need to be paid to the construction of informatization as it is a long-term and systematic work. We need analyse the current situation, better plan, and make clear the developing goals. The priority work areas should transfer to basic and practical work. The technical application and service need to be emphasised to improve the capacity of serving the discipline work and promote the development of both sides.
