Study On The Law Of Syndrome Differentiation And Control In Yunnan Province Based On Clinical Flow Study

This research is a sub-topic of “research of the treatment pattern of Yunnandryness syndrome based on analysis of literature and data from both ancient andmodern times as well as clinical research.”which is a project of the TechnologyDepartment of Yunnan province. The main content of the research is to find out thetreatment pattern of Yunnan dryness syndrome based on the investigation and researchof the clinical epidemiology of the disease.Objective: To elaborate on the features of dryness syndrome and its distribution,analyze the correlation between the disease and the region, weather, dietary habit aswell as constitution, analyze the therapeutic principles, treatment and the rule ofprescribing drugs, supplement the systematic research of the disease and providereliable basis for the research on TCM prevention of relevant diseases in this region.Methods and contents: survey on both outpatients and inpatients from Kunming,Qujin, Yuxi and Chuxiong was carried out by epidemiological research methods,using two questionaries-Survey of symptoms of Dryness Syndrome in Yunnan andSurvey of constitution in TCM.Conclusion:(1) Main types of Yunnan dryness syndrome are as follows:syndrome of liver-qi stagnation and spleen deficiency; syndrome of heart-kidneydeficiency and insufficiency of essence and blood; syndrome of dryness andyin-deficiency of the stomach; hyperactivity of liver-heart fire; syndrome of externaldryness invading the lungs; syndrome of lung heat and intestinal dryness.(2)Featuresof Yunnan dryness syndrome: distinct external dryness of the lung; distinct liver-qistagnation and dampness obstruction due to spleen deficiency; insufficiency ofessence and blood of the heart and kidney; distinct dryness of the stomach andintestine.(3)Causes of Yunnan dryness syndrome: dry air, low soil humidity,preference to pungent and salty flavor; major constitution-yin-deficiency and qistagnation.(4) Pathogenesis of Yunnan dryness syndrome: external drynessconsuming body fluids; disorder of the metabolism of body fluids.(5)Treatmentaccording to syndrome differentiation: soothing the liver to release suppression, tonifying qi and strengthening the spleen; tonifying qi and enriching blood,regulating the heart and kidney; nourishing yin to eliminate heat, invigorating thestomach to calm the adverse-rising energy; reinforcing the heart and liver, purging thefire and nourishing yin; dispelling pathogenic factors from the defense tier andmoistening dryness, nourishing yin to clear the lung; clearing away heat and purgingthe lung, moistening the intestine to reduce dryness.(6) Drugs often used normallyhave the functions to dispel wind, clearing away heat, moistening dryness, invigoratethe lung, strengthen the spleen and nourish the liver and act on the meridians of lung,liver, heart, spleen. They are cold and warm in nature, sweet, bitter and pungent intaste.
