The paperfirst discusses the concept of dryness syndrome, clinical manifestation.Points out that the dryness syndrome, is a kind of body fluid to reduce,even dried up as the main pathological mechanism, to dry the symptoms asthe main performance of a group of syndromes of traditional Chinesemedicine. And that the dryness is main reason causing dryness syndrome,dryness is pathogenic dryness syndrome. Summarizes the dryness of theorigin and development of ancient and modern. Study on regional drynesssystem also rarely, regional research of Yunnan dryness just the initialstage. Secondly, analysis of the climate characteristics of NorthwestYunnan, factors that climate in northwest region of Yunnan province suchas: dry, low oxygen, ultraviolet radiation due to the body’s health hasa certain influence. The dryness in the northwest of Yunnan Province, laythe theoretical foundation for the improvement of Yunnan dry permit system,and provide a reliable basis for the prevention and control of relateddiseases in Yunnan dryness syndrome of traditional Chinese medicine.Finally, with the help of epidemiological research methods, to thenorthwest of Yunnan Province (Baoshan, Dali, Shangri-La, Diqing,Tengchong) with "dryness syndrome characteristics of dry" areas of thehospital outpatient and inpatient patients in the clinical investigation,collecting the survey form, into the computer. The use of modernstatistical methods, combined with the application of the theory oftraditional Chinese medicine knowledge, data analysis results. Thesyndrome characteristics and syndrome distribution law seeks tounderstand the Northwest Dryness Syndrome; and the relationship betweenthe Northwest Dryness Syndrome with Northwest Yunnan region, climate, people’s living habits; herbs summary of Yunnan northwest drynesssyndrome.Conclusions:(1)The main dryness syndrome in northwest Yunnanprovince are: exogenous dryness syndrome, wind-heat invading lungsyndrome, liver-heat invading lung dryness syndrome, spleen-dampinducing stomach dryness syndrome. The concurrent syndromes are:dampness-heat of bladder and yin deficiency of heart and kidney.(2)The characteristics of northwest of Yunnan province are as follows:○1The exogenous and inner dryness syndrome are both seen and dominated byexogenous dryness syndrome. The dryness syndrome is mainly lung dryness,which is induced by exogenous dryness, as well as the dryness in heart,kidney and liver caused by inner dryness.○2Dryness and dampness are bothseen, with most spleen-dampness and stomach dryness.○3The kidney-qi isdeficiency and liver-qi stagnation when dryness invades.(3)The mainetiological factor is dry and wet season in northwest Yunnan province.(4)The environment of northwest Yunnan province is characterized by highaltitude, intense radiation, strong wind and high temperature, whichcould induce dryness syndrome.(5)The patients with dryness syndrome eatmore spicy and salty food.(6)The drugs used in northwest Yunnan provinceare mainly heat-clearing, regulating qi-flowing, invigorating yin, etc.(7)Compared with central China, drugs used in northwest Yunnan provinceare mainly acting on liver meridian.(8)The6therapeutic methods areas follows:○1dispersing lung qi, regulating the nutrient level formoistening dryness.○2dispering lung and stomach qi nourishing yin formoistening dryness.○3promoting fluid production, astringing yin formoistening dryness.○4strengthening essence and nourishing blood,nourishing yin for nourishing dryness.○5Resolving dampness and clearingphlegm for dispelling dryness.○6regulating nutrient and defensive qi，expelling pathogenic factors from muscles for moistening dryness.
