Study On The Effect Of Electroacupuncture And Catgut Embedding Therapy On Serum Leptin And Insulin In Patients With Simple Obesity

objective To observe the effect of electroacupuncture and catgut embedding therapy on fasting serum leptin,insulin and body mass index in patients with simple obesity,and analyze the relationship between the changes of body mass index and laboratory indexes,to further explore the mechanism of two kinds of methods,to provide experimental basis for clinical treatment.Method All the 90 patients in this study were from Hubei Provincial Traditional Chinese Medical Hospital.According to the order of treatment,they were randomly divided into electro acupuncture group and catgut embedding group.EA group with Zhongwan,Tianshu,Daheng,Daimai,Shuidao,Zhigou,Yinlingquan,Zusanli,Fenglong,Sanyinjiao acupoints,and combined with syndrome differentiation acupuncture treatment.At the same time,two groups of acupoints in abdomen were selected to use electro acupuncture for 30 min,one time every other day,15 times as a course;The main points of catgut embedding group were the same with electroacupuncture group,and combined with point selection treatment based on syndrome differentiation,each time selecting 9-11 points for embedding,10 days 1 times,3 times for a course.Diet and exercise intervention were performed in this two groups.After 2 courses,the changes of fasting serum leptin and insulin levels in the two groups were observed before and after treatment,and analysing the correlation between those index and BMI.To further explore the mechanism and effective of this two methods in the treatment of simple obesity,providing experimental basis for clinical treatmentResult 1.The changes of BMI levels in the two groups before and after treatment: The level of BMI in EA group and catgut embedding group was lower than that before treatment,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).Before and after treatment,there was no significant difference in BMI levels between the two groups(P>0.05).2.The changes in fasting serum Leptin?INS level in the two groups before and after treatment:The levels of fasting serum Leptin?INS in EA group and catgut embedding group was lower than that before treatment,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).Before and after treatment,there was no significant difference in laboratory index between the two groups(P>0.05).3.The correlation analysis between the change of BMI and the changes of serum Leptin and INS levels in EA group: The changes of BMI in electroacupuncture group were positively correlated with the changes of fasting serum Leptin and INS,and the correlation coefficients were respectively 0.410 and 0.459(P<0.01).With BMI value as the dependent variable,Leptin and INS as independent variables,multiple regression analysis was further carried out.The standardized partial regression coefficients were respectively 0.296 and0.366.4.The correlation analysis between the change of BMI and the changes of serum Leptin and INS levels in catgut embedding group: The changes of BMI in catgut embedding group were positively correlated with the changes of fasting serum Leptin and INS,and the correlation coefficients were respectively 0.474 and 0.497(P<0.01).With BMI value as the dependent variable,Leptin and INS as independent variables,multiple regression analysis was further carried out.The standardized partial regression coefficients were respectively 0.337 and 0.372.Conclusion Catgut embedding therapy and electro acupuncture therapy can regulate the fasting serum Leptin and INS levels in obese patients,and correct the leptin resistance and insulin resistance.The changes of Leptin and INS affect the change of BMI in this two kinds of methods.
