Objective:To observe and evaluate TST36in clinical effectiveness, safety and recurrence in the treatment of rectal mucosa prolapse. Methods:A randomized study was made in56patients with rectal mucosa prolapse. The study group (28cases) received the treatment of TST36and the control group (28cases) received the treatment of PPH. Observe and evaluate the treatment effect and complications, judgment about the safety and efficacy of TST36.Results:Two surgical procedures have achieved the same clincal effect. Between two groups, there were not statistically signficant differences in the time of hemostasis intraoperation, operatio and hospital stays, as well as in intraoperative anastomotic suturing hemostasis, intraoperation stretch reflex, the feeling of the first postoperative defecation and anal pain, postoperative bleeding, postoperative urine situation, rectum stenosis (P>0.05). There was no significant difference in postoperative complications between two groups (P>0.05), But, there were signf icant differences in surgical removal of the specimen quality, size, width, and6months follow-up relapse (P<0.05).Conclusion:TST36treating for rectal mucosa prolapse is a technique with reliable and safety. It has the advantage of much capacity of resection specimen and low postoperative recurrence rate.
