Purpose:To detect the activity of Na/K-ATPase in the peripheral blood plasmaof patients with meningioma receiving postoperative Ozonated autohemotherapy. To discuss the mechanism of the therapy on relieving meningioma peritumoral edemaand postoperative edema.Material and method: To select16patients diagnosed with meningioma, whichlocated in the cerebral hemisphere with obvious peripheral tumoral edema amongthe patients hospitalized from1st. Jan.2013to1st.Jan.2014.in the GeneralHospital of Shenyang Military Area Command. The treatment group (routine therapyplus Ozonated autohemotherapy of8cases) and control group (routine therapyof8cases). The routine therapy including using mannitol on high intracranialpressure symptomatic treatment, while treatment group was adjuvent with Ozonatedautohemotherapy on the basis of routine therapy. To collect100ml blood frommedian cubital vein into special bag and to add100ml medical Ozone onconcentration of47μ g/ml, fully mixed in the special bag.10minutes later, toretransfuse into median cubital vein in15minutes,once a day,7days for a peiodof treatment. To detect the activity of Na/K-ATPase in the blood of median cubitalvein of patients2days,4days and6days after the incision of mennigioma.Results:1.Obviously,the activity of Na/K-ATPase in the treatment group is higher thancontrol group,after7days postoperative Ozonated autohemotherapy(p<0.01)2.the activity of Na/K-ATPase is inreased higher and higher in the period ofOzonated autohemotherapy(p<0.01).Conclusion:1.The occurrence of postoperative edema is related with the activty ofNa/K-ATPase.2. The mechanism of Ozonated autohemotherapy on postoperative edema is to increase the activity of activty of Na/K-ATPase.
