Efficacy Of Modified Zhenwu Decoction In The Treatment Of Chronic Heart Failure (Heart - Kidney - Yang Deficiency Type)

Purpose:To observe the clinical effect of modified Zhenwu Decoction in the treatment of heart and kidney yang deficiency type chronic heart failure.Method: The use of retrospective study method, choosing 40 patients of chronic heart failure therapy to the Liaoning Province Hospital of traditional Chinese Medicine Department between 2013 January to 2014 December, whom including 19 male, 21 female. In a random 1:1 throw coins which were divided into treatment group and control group, each group were 20 people. The 2 groups of patients in general the difference were not statistically significant, are both heart kidney deficiency of Yang of heart failure patients. The control group with routine treatment of Western medicine,including diuretics, RAAS system inhibitors, beta blockers and positive inotropic drugs, andtreatment for the complications. The treatment group in the control group received themodified Zhenwu Decoction treatment(modified Zhenwu Decoction prescription aconite Radix Paeoniae Alba: Monkshood, white atractylodes rhizome, Poria, cinnamon, Plantago, semen Lepidii, astragalus root, ginseng, motherwort, ginger,licorice). 2 groups of patients hospitalized for 2 weeks of treatment, compared 2 groups ofpatients after the treatment of BNP, echocardiography(ejection fraction EF and stroke volume,SV), Lee’s integral and TCM syndrome integral comparison.Results: 1. in the BNP comparison: in the treatment group, BNP index lower than the control group, the 2 groups had statistical significance(P < 0.05).2. in the heart color index(EF, SV): the treatment group than the control group, the 2 groups was statistically significant(P < 0.05). 3. the TCM syndrome integral comparison: in the treatment group than the control group, the 2 groups was statistically significant(P < 0.05). 4. Lee’s integral comparison: in treatment group than in control group, the 2 groups was statistically significant(P < 0.05).Conclusion: 1.Modified Zhenwu Decoction can decrease the serum BNP level in patients with chronic heart failure. 2. Modified Zhenwu Decoction can improve the TCM syndrome and Lee’s score in patients with chronic heart failure. 3.Modified Zhenwu Decoction can improve chronic heart failure in patients with EF and SV. 4.Modified Zhenwu Decoction in the treatment of chronic heart failure has good safety.
