Objectives:To investigate the degree of subchondral bone marrow edema testing by MRI in the early generation of knee osteoarthritis;And to explore the correlation between bone marrow edema and clinical night rest pain, joint swelling degree, WOMAC score of the knee osteoarthritis.Method:All the patients of early generation of knee osteoarthritis and it’s data were screened in 2013 July to 2014 November in Sichuan Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Sichuan Orthopedics Hospital,according to the inclusion criteria,exclusion criteria and the test result of MRI,chose qualified 30 cases with the performance of bone marrow edema to the observation group; Selected another qualified 30 cases without bone marrow edema to control group.Evaluate the severity score of the patients with bone marrow edema,analysis and statistics the VAS score of night rest pain,joint swelling degree, WOMAC score of the two groups,explore the correlation between bone marrow edema and the clinical manifestation of early knee osteoarthritis.Results:1.In observation group,the VAS score of night rest pain is (6.40±1.16), joint swelling degree score is (1.33±0.55), WOMAC score is (104.37±14.30);In the control group,the VAS score of night rest pain is (5.07±1.17), joint swelling degree score is (1.00±0.59), WOMAC score is (88.63±9.98);Compare the patients of two groups in VAS score, joint swelling degree and WOMAC score,P<0.05,the difference is statistically significant,VAS score,joint swelling degree,WOMAC score of the observation group are higher than that of the control group.2.1n the observation group of the 30 patients,severity scores 1 of the patients with bone marrow edema,the corresponding VAS score of night rest pain is (5.00±0.00) joint swelling score is(1.38±0.52),WOMAC score is(92.63±13.07);Severity scores 2 of the patients with bone marrow edema,the correspondingVAS score is (6.31±0.48), joint swelling score is(1.15±0.56), WOMAC score is (105.15±13.29);Severity scores 3 of the patients with bone marrow edema,the corresponding VAS score of night rest pain is (7.78±0.67), joint swelling score is(1.56±0.53), WOMAC score is (113.67±9.53);Compare the VAS score and WOMAC score in the observation group, bone marrow edema score 3 points>2 points>1 points.3.In the observation group, the correlation coefficient of the bone marrow edema and night rest pain:r=0.933, P=0.00<0.05, with a positive correlation between them,the regression equation:Y=3.572+1.391X.The correlation coefficient of the bone marrow edema and WOMAC score:r=0.555 (r>0),P=0.001< 0.05,with a positive correlation between them,the regression equation:Y=3.572+1.391X.The correlation coefficient of the bone marrow edema and joint swelling score: r=0.148,P=0.44>0.05,with no correlation between them.Conclusion:1.There is a positive correlation between the subchondral bone marrow edema testing by MRI and the night rest pain,WOMAC score of patients in the early generation of knee osteoarthritis.2.There is no correlation between the subchondral bone marrow edema testing by MRI and the joint swelling score in the early generation of knee osteoarthritis.
