Farmland is the most important resource of agrieultural produetion and the prime of land.Developing cultivated land quality evaluation,clarifying cultivated land quality and its influencing factors is important basis for quality management of cultivated land and rational use of land.Currently, we develop evaluation index system In accordance with the county.However, due to the gaping differences of different natural and socio-economic factors, different regions may implement different evaluation index systems.which makes it hard to set up a unified index system available for different regions, the evaluating result lack of comparability and veracity in the homogeneity of the same area, and causes much inconvenience in land use and management. This research is based on Evaluation of Farmland evaluation index system of Hubei Province completed in 2009.The evaluation index system of 35 counties were developed by Huazhong Agricultural University, Hubei Academy of Agricultural soil and fertilizer are, Soil and Fertilizer Station of Hubei Province, Hubei environmental protection stations, and county Farm Bureau experts in 2007,2008 and 2009.I participated the evaluation As a principal investigator in 2008 and 2009.This study divides the Hubei Province into, jianghan plain, eastern plain along the Yangtze River,northwestern mountain area, southwestern mountain area, Hillock of North Hubei, Upland of Central Hubei, six districts by the terrain, discuses the factors and their interactions affecting the cultivated land quality. This study also summarizes the commonalities and divergences of the evaluation index systems implemented in all counties in each area, analyzes the causes, and tries to set up different evaluation index systems for each districts(plain lakes, mountain areas, hillock areas).The results with the forward-looking, reasonable construction of the fertility of cultivated land evaluation system, evaluation results to improve land fertility science, the future fertility of cultivated land area of evaluation results summary or aggregate reference value throughout the province.The final result follows: Plain Lakes:landforms,drainage capacity, organic matter, effective phosphorus, available potassium, texture, pH, profile configuration, groundwater type.Hillock areas:landforms, soil parent material, irrigation guarantee rate, organic matter, effective phosphorus, available potassium, effective zinc, water soluble B, texture, pH, profile configuration.Mountain areas:elevation, geomorphology, slope, aspect, soil parent material, irrigation guarantee rate, organic matter, effective phosphorus, available potassium, texture, pH, profile configuration.
