In this experiment, grow the peppers in desert area greenhouse under ecological organic soilless culture in Linze county, Zhangye city. This study discussed the effects of different irrigation limits of irrigation on peppers'growth, yeild and fruit quality. There are nine treatments (40%-80%) for analyzing plants'nutritional growth, the pattern of production and fruit quality. The following conclusions were obtained:1. The plant height and stem diameter of peppers under the 70% (field capacity) limit of irrigation were significantly higher than other treatments. Under the 70% limit of irrigation plant height was 83.00 cm,87.67cm,91.33cm in flowering, fruit setting and full fruit stage. It was higher than CK (90% limit of irrigation) 5.06%,2.73%, 0.74%. Under the 70% limit of irrigation stem diameter of peppers was 1.134cm, 1.256cm,1.349cm in flowering, fruit setting and full fruit stage. It was higher than CK 3.17%,1.65%,1.76%.2. When irrigation limits of irrigation was 40% (field capacity), root volume of pepper plant in every growth periods was significantly higher than that in the other. Under the 70% limit of irrigation root volume of pepper plant was higher than CK 50.07%,39.65%,12.24% in flowering, fruit setting and full fruit stage. But the differences between was gradually narrowing with pepper plant growth.3. With the irrigation limits irrigation, pepper leaves'MDA, POD content with the increase. Pepper leaves'Pro content of activeness appearing first increased then decreased. Significant difference between the treatment.4. The pepper leaves'Fv/Fm,ΦPSII, qP with the improvement of irrigation limit at first increased then decreased. The 70% limit of irrigations'Fv/Fm,ΦPSII, qP reached their maximum value.5. With the improvement of irrigation limit, pepper production increased. Under the 70% limit of irrigation was pepper production maximum,4200kg/667m2, was higher than CK 13.6%. Under the 70% limit of irrigation fruit quality all reached their maximum value, among which Vc content was 1.27mg/g, free amino acids content was 363.6μg/g, soluble sugar content was 20.4mg/g. 6. The 70% (field capacity) limit of irrigation was the most ideal level of irrigation limits for cultivating peppers in desert area greenhouse under ecological organic soilless.
